A Day with Nora

On Monday, we went over to my cousin Jennifer's house and we got to babysit Nora. She was doing a lot of work in the garage, and then she had to take some stuff places to drop off. So, we watched Nora all afternoon. It was so much fun.

It was so easy to make her laugh and smile.

So cute!

Little toes.

Unfortunately, this one turned out horizontal. But if you turn your head you can see a sweet baby.

This picture below turned out vertical instead of horizontal. I sure wish I could ask blogger if when we make our pictures bigger or smaller that we could also rotate them. You'll have to turn your head for this one too.
Good-night, Nora.

We had so much fun. She did get really fussy a couple times, but Mom just put her in bed and turned on the musical mobile thing and she went right to sleep. I'm so glad I have such a smart Mom.

A Short Story

Last Wednesday, Dad brought home a couple things home from work. One of those things was a tote bag, and I love tote bags. Of course, even at our age, we were hoping that Dad would give it to one of us. The only problem with this bag is it had a purple rose on one side. Even though, right at this moment, I'm wearing purple it is not my favorite color.
We were having some friends over for dinner, so Mom said to put it away and we would decide later who would get it. In my heart, I just knew Rebecca was going to get it.
We needed to hurry up and finish before our friends got here, so we didn't think anymore about it. Our very dear friends arrived and everybody greeted each other. Then the wife, (who is as close to Rebecca and me as a second mother), comes up to me and hands me a big and deep, pink and green tote bag that she had no use for. (Pink and green just happen to be my favorite colors)!
God is so amazing. It goes to show you that He cares even about the little things. It wasn't a need, it was just a desire.

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday, was Mom and Dad's anniversary. We did what we usually do on Friday's, and then later on after we got home, Dad took Mom out. I fell asleep before they got home so I didn't get to hear where they went or anything! I even thought about doing a blog post last night while they were out, but I forgot about doing one for their anniversary. So, here it is, belated as usual!

George is Home

Last week or a couple weeks ago, George got to go home! Praise the LORD! We are all so happy that he is home and doing well. He still has some other problems that need care, but he is home and I'm sure loving every minute of it.
We are still praying for him. But Praise God! He's home!

I took a couple pictures of when we went to go see him.

Dad got to hold him for the first time.

Then Mom got to hold him.

Proud Papa!

Sweet Baby!

Visiting with George

We went to go see George a few days ago, and we got to hold him for the first time. He has been in the ICU since he was born. He is one month old today! Last Thursday, he was officially out of the ICU. We were all so happy to receive the news. He may be able to go home tomorrow, or next week sometime. This little guy has gone through a lot, and so have Jeremy and Leona! The Lord has brought them through all of these things, and I know they are trusting Him.
We brought a surprise visitor with us to see George and Leona. They have not seen each other in a long time, and Leona has known her ever since she was a baby. We haven't got to visit with her in years either, so we had a great time.

He is SO cute!

Mom got to hold him first.

Delighted!

His plan for the day.
I got to hold him next.

Sweet Baby!

The surprise visitor, Brianna, got to hold him next.

So glad you got to come with us!

Rebecca got to hold him last.
Mommy and Baby.

Right when we were getting ready to leave, two nurses came in and took off the oxygen. As far as I know, he is still off of it.

Congratulations, George!
We love you so much! And we are continuing to pray for you.

In Illinois

October first we went to Illinois to help a family build some of their house. Needless to say, we didn't get accomplished as we had hoped. But we did take pictures.

Looks like they were discussing what they were going to do.

They're were a lot of cuties there.

I don't remember his name.

Melody

Checkout that face!

The process begins.

Some of us stacked the planks

Some of us measured

And some of us cut. (But it wasn't me).

After a while I took pictures of the children that were around.
